I enclose for your information, a copy of the representation submitted by Mr. Child to the Foreign Office on 2nd Oct. 1882, together with a copy of Mr. Bourne's letter from the Foreign Office dated 30th November 1882, on the subject. There are several points referred to H.M. Govt. which, if agreed to, would, if carried out judicially, affect the interests of British traders.
